Finally, a full length trailer for Hitchhiker's Guide! Turns out that the lead guy from the office is playing Arthur. Kind of makes sense.

From a Portland blogging about medical school, a post that starts:

"What's small and white and starts with 'M'? (Hint: not mice) Ok. What's the grossest thing you can possibly imagine?"

Can you guess what she saw? (Hint: She's studying to be a medical examiner)

A Scanner Darkly Trailer

I should probably read the book before I see the movie.

And on another note, everyone should watch all of The Office, immediately. Again, if necessary.

Did you know that you can't put links in a comment? Hence the need for an entirely new thread altogether.

I just wanted to second Reid's dismissal of the ThunderCats movie, and suggest that when Kevin Smith was publicly praising it, he was engaging in an ancient pastime known as "joking." Either that, or he's overcome by admiration for its obvious DIY-by-necessity ethic. There's no way he actually finds it unironically entertaining.

And now the link: here's a movie that I'd much sooner see.

Apparently, someone has made a full-length live action movie based on Thundercats, the 80s cartoon show. Apparently the movie has won prizes and garnered praise from Kevin Smith.

Watch the preview. Here's the production company's website: Nameless Entertainment's.

Deep Throat's identity soon to be revealed

John Dean just published a column in the LA Times in which he says that Bob Woodward has indicated that Deep Throat is sick. Ben Bradlee, Woodward's editor on the Watergate stories has written his obituary. Woodward has always said that he would reveal Deep Throat's identity after he dies. Looks like that day is coming soon.

Whoa! Star Moles!

Star Moles: Timing the moles' actions, the researchers found that after touching a small piece of food they took an average of 230 milliseconds to identify it as edible and eat it....

"The star-nose has the strangest teeth," Catania says. Its incisors are very small compared to other moles and are formed like tweezers. "This allows them to grasp small prey very precisely," he says.
