THANK you! I wondered whether or not I was crazy. Reid and I discussed this over squash today. Why is there no spiteful thread on the LL message board about this yet?
He probably isn't going to respond. I refer you to The Rules:
15. Disputes 15.1 In the LearnedLeague, all disputes are settled by the Commissioner, Thorsten A. Integrity, who has final and absolute say on all things Learned. This includes any changes to the rules or structure of the game which may occur without warning.
15.2 Concerning disputes over the validity of answers, the Commissioner will hear complaints, but only in the rarest and most overtly egregious circumstances will the Commissioner change the outcome of a match after-the-fact. Generally speaking, match scoring and the veracity of answers must be accepted as is. This rule is commonly known as the "Jacobson Clause".
16. Jacobson Clause 16.1 All complaints and disputes will be ignored. If you think the answer for a given question is incorrect or incomplete, you could very well be right, but it will not be changed after the fact.
16.2 You might want to think of this as the equivalent of a bad call at home plate in baseball, or a disputed goal in hockey. It can be a tough and unfriendly game, this LearnedLeague.
16.3 The Commissioner might regret the heartache and anger that this invariably causes, but probably not. There is no room in his black heart for your pettiness.
Though I also answered "Johannesburg", there seems to be a dispute here. Wikipedia thinks that J is the most populous city, but http://www.citypopulation.de/SouthAfrica-UA.html lists the CT urban area as having a population of 2,415,408, then Durban with 2,117,650, and then J with 1,480,530. The difference may lie in "urban area" vs. "city" (like how the Los Angeles urban area population is much larger than that of the city). Whatever the case, I think that the answer is debatable enough that you (and I, and Will) are not going to get credit.

In fact, I emailed the "commissioner" about it. He has neglected to respond as yet.
