Universal City Development

This is the first I've heard of a new development up at Universal Studios, though my mom and our neighborhood association probably know all about it. As long as we've lived near Universal City, there's been rumblings about this sort of thing. I certainly don't know the details, but this actually sounds good to me. Playa Vista, referenced in this article as twice the size of this potential development, is a tract condo nightmare that ate up a lot of the marshlands in West LA. But I like the fact that this location is synergistic with the subway, and development - in the valley no less - that increases density in LA is probably good. Anyone have any insights?
