Best of 2006

Every year for the past few years, a group of people - none of whom knows every other participant - loosely revolving around the node of Paul Bost and his college friends shares their best-of-the-year-style lists. In the past, this has been done by email, but this year the roundtable - in which I am a participant - graduated (devolved?) to blog-hood. I find this kind of personal thing more compelling that the endless internet parade of year end lists (which, I'll admit, I also read with some dedication). I made my first 2006 contribution in the field of Portland music.
