Hell House

My friend, Alex Timbers, with his usual coterie of other mutual friends in Les Freres Corbusier, is staging another spectacle in New York. Once again, it has been favorably, and visibly reviewed by the New York Times. Congratulations to him! Seems like Alice's CSI character could appear in Hell House.

Never mind. I revoke my previous criticism. I was able to get the site to partially load using Flash 7 on my Linux box. I saw three glossy-looking buttons before the page crapped out on me. Merely observing this hallmark of Web 2.0 design philosophy ("make everything glossy") is all I need to conclude that they are legit.

Jesus Christ, the goddamn motherfucking New York Times. You want another example of why I hate them? Here, from an article on AllofMP3 and music piracy:

"Some players, like Pirate Bay in Sweden, continue to operate illegally"

NEW YORK TIMES: FIRE YOUR GODDAMN FACT-CHECKER. The Pirate Bay is LEGAL under Swedish law, because they're not actually distributing copyrighted content -- just torrent files, which contain nothing that's under copyright. People who use the site are illegally swapping copyrighted content with one another using bit torrent software, but the site itself is operating legally under Swedish law.

The eggheads at that paper can cram it with walnuts. Anybody needs me I am going to be out stealing lingonberries.
