Elective Amputation

Fascinating article from The Guardian about a woman who's halfway through with her quest to have both her legs amputated. As extreme as it sounds, but, truthfully, I think it's really moving. And it speaks pretty well, as far as I know, to the impulse that drives people to undergo all sorts of non-trivial body modification.
