Apprarently, The Nintendo "Revolution" has been given its official name: Wii.
If you think it's terrible, you're not alone.
On the upside, it's starting to look like Wii will launch as soon as July and cost only $200.

You know, the article you link to is far from a condemnation of the name; it's rather what its own title suggests it to be (In Defense of Wii), and it's a scorchingly intelligent defense at that. My initial reaction was one of bemusement and then mild nausea, but I reconsidered my position completely after reading it.
Mostly, I linked to that article because it was a clearing house of the discussion around the name. It itself links to lots of posts that carry the negative argument, but I had a similar reaction to its refutation and that's why I linked to it.
Stealing a quotation that Tyson pointed out to me, the Wii could be called the Nintendo Bowl of Dicks and I would still want one.
